The AMI Marine X-MDR gives smaller commercial vessels a powerful “black box” for recording what really happened. Capturing audio, navigation data, radar/ECDIS imagery and optional CCTV, it provides a reliable, retrievable record of events — helping protect your crew, your vessel and your business when questions are asked.
The X-MDR is particularly suited to vessels that fall outside mandatory VDR/S-VDR requirements, but the value of reliable recorded evidence isn't determined by vessel size or regulation.

AMI Marine's replay software makes reviewing recorded information straightforward, allowing operators, engineers and investigators to reconstruct the sequence of events. Data can be downloaded for review, while the system's mapping display helps put the vessel's movements into context.
With storage options available up to 4TB, the X-MDR can provide an extended history of vessel operations rather than simply recording the immediate aftermath of an incident.
